Kim Martin
Kim Martin is an Assistant Professor in History at the University of Guelph, Ontario. In this position, she works to create community around digital humanities by organizing workshops, speaker series, and hands on events. Martin is also the Associate Director of the Humanities Interdisciplinary Collaboration Library in the McLaughlin Library, which provides a space for graduate students and faculty to work on digital and interdisciplinary projects. Martin’s research focuses on serendipity and maker-spaces, specifically the role of serendipity in historian’s information-seeking, in both physical and digital environments.
